I don't think people talk enough about the nuanced and diverse experience of having cancer. We're supposed to be both visibly sick and stoically brave. But people with cancer are just ... people who happen to have cancer. We have all the feelings. And resentment is one of them. It's a valid and reasonable feeling and there's nothing wrong with feeling it. And you make a very good point which is: We don't know what any one person is going through. I think there is room for all the feelings and the more we talk about them, the more we can work through it all with compassion (for ourselves and each other) and grace.
